CLAIMS
MANAGEMENT (WSIB) SPECIALIST
We have an opportunity for an energetic motivated
professional to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team
environment. Candidate must have
practical experience in managing WSIB (WCB) claims, including return to
work initiatives, entitlement issues, and financial strategies. Proven ability to independently manage
case load, and prepare reports, letters and financial summaries
required. The successful candidate
will have at least 5 years of related experience; strong presentation
abilities, computer skills and excellent English language skills are also
required. Credentials in ergonomics,
occupational health (RN, RPN), or health & safety (CRSP) are an asset for
the position.
LAWYER
This is an opportunity for an energetic, highly
motivated lawyer or practitioner for workers’ compensation work in a
multidisciplinary environment. The
candidate must have a proven ability to prepare and present appeals at both
Board and Tribunal levels, in re-employment, revenue and claims
issues. Some experience in labour
law or personal injury practice would be an asset. The successful candidate will be computer
savvy, have strong presentation abilities, and excellent report writing
skills. Must be able to work under
pressure and meet deadlines.
HEALTH &
SAFETY / CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Opportunity is available for an
energetic, highly motivated professional to work in a fast-paced
multidisciplinary team environment.
This position will fulfill a dual role within the organization,
WSIB/WCB Claims Management and Health & Safety Specialist.
Claims Management experience includes practical
experience in managing WSIB (WCB) claims, including return to work
initiatives, entitlement issues, and financial strategies. Proven ability to independently manage
caseload and prepare reports and financial summaries.
H&S experience includes successful development and
implementation of safety programs.
Proven ability to conduct H&S compliance audits and assist with
the development and training of H&S programs, including WHMIS, JHSC and
Supervisor Competency Training.
OCCUPATIONAL
HEALTH NURSE
Opportunity is available for an
experienced Occupation Health Nurse who has specialized in disability
claims for at least three years.
Working as part of a team you would be expected to understand our
clients’ needs, offering cost-effective advice, and reducing the impact of
work-related injury claims through prevention, return to work initiatives,
attentive case management, and liaison with various agencies.
In addition the successful candidate would be expected
to review claim files, identify issues, submit letters as required,
co-ordinate medicals, liaise with medical community and travel to meet with
clients as required.
Qualifications include current registration with the College of Nurses
of Ontario,
Certificate or diploma from an accredited program in Occupational Health
Nursing (COHN) designation or working towards completion. The successful candidate will have
excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work both
independently as well as a team member, be computer savvy and experience
with return to work and modified work programs.
